2024 Car Review Archives car detail

The  car market is moving positively in 2023 and it seems that it can do even better. This is because in the last part of the year we expect many new models, from almost all import companies. Let’s see in detail, one by one, the companies and the models they have in the program to bring until the end of 2023.

Alfa Romeo

Alfa Romeo

Alfa Romeo enters autumn strongly, as from September, i.e. directly, it has the top version of the Tonale in showrooms. More specifically, the Tonale Plug-in Hybrid Q4, which with its arrival also marks the new electrified era of Alfa Romeo.

t is equipped with a hybrid system that includes a 1.3-liter thermal engine with 180 hp mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission that drives the front wheels and a 90 kW (122 hp) and 250 Nm torque electric motor that sends the power back. The total output is 280 hp.

It has an electric range of up to 80 kilometers and cumulatively, together with the gasoline engine, it reaches 600 kilometers. It emits 26 g/km. which translates into free entry to the Ring and exemption from paying tolls.

Audi

Audi

The newest model that Audi has in its quiver will be offered in the near future and by the end of the year in Greece by the importing company of our country. This is the renewed Q8, which will premiere on September 5.

At this stage there is only an indicative photo of the model, depicting the rear against a dark background. The changes will focus on the redesigned lights, as can be seen in the photo, while at the same time it will offer more customization options.

It will also have changes in the front, on the lower side, and also on the back. In addition to the entry-level version, the top of the range will be the SQ8 and RS Q8 versions that will be equipped with the V8 engine. The Q8 will be built on the MQB Evo platform, shared with the Porsche Cayenne, and will be the last version to be available with electric and thermal engines, as from 2026 it will be exclusively electric.

Citroen plans to bring the new C5 Aircross Hybrid by the end of the year, and more specifically in December. An electrified version of the model, focusing on efficiency. It emits 129 g/km. CO2, a value that is 15% better compared to regular gasoline.

In more detail, the new Citroen C5 Aircross Hybrid 136, as its full name is, has a compact and light hybrid 48V system. This is charged while driving, with the PureTech petrol engine specially designed to work with this particular mild hybrid system and the new e-DCS6 gearbox with the 21 kW (29 hp) electric motor.

Dacia

Dacia is making a dynamic move towards electrics with the introduction of a purely electric small crossover to its range. It is about the Spring, which is the cheapest e=SUV on the Greek market with a price of 27,950 euros, which is set at 21,188 euros with the government subsidy of the “Moving Electric” program and is available to order immediately, in the fall.

It has compact dimensions, with a length of 3.73 m, but also offers space for four passengers and 290 liters of luggage. It has all the comforts you look for in everyday life, such as A/C, navigation system, electric windows and the ability to connect to a smartphone.

In the Greek market, it is available in the top-spec Extreme version, with the new 48 kW (65 hp) electric motor. The gearbox is tuned to ensure better accelerations, along with better energy recovery for longer range.

Ford

Dacia

Ford is launching an attack with commercial vehicles and the spearhead is the new Transit. More specifically, the new Transit Custom arrives in October, with the order book already open for those interested. A little later, in December, the Transit and Tourneo Courier will be added to the Ford range.

The Transit Custom stands out for its new design, its advanced technologies, its rich equipment, which combines with practicality and the range of efficient diesel engines, with an output of 136, 150 and 170 hp, depending on the version.

Its prices start at 39,584 euros, in the introductory version, and reach 48,830 euros in the version with the 8-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive. The equipment level is rich and includes, among others, an 8-inch digital instrument panel display, a 13-inch multimedia system screen with Ford SYNC4 connectivity and an integrated 5G modem. From February 2024, the purely electric version of the Ford Transit Custom will also be available.

Honda

The Greek import company of Honda enriches its range with two completely new models. These are the e:Ny1 and the ZR-V. Both are placed in the SUV category, with each of them having its own personality.

In more detail, the Honda e:Ny1, which officially begins its commercial course in October, is an electric B-SUV, with a distinct and interesting design approach, which has a range of 412 kilometers. Inside it follows the well-known philosophy of the Japanese company, which emphasizes usability and ergonomics, with a large 15.1-inch touch screen dominating the center of the dashboard. Its performance is 150 kW (204 hp) and 310 Nm of torque.

The Honda ZR-V is officially expected on the Greek market in December. With the Z-RV, Honda wants to bridge the gap between the HR-V and CR-V, based on the DNA of the new Civic. Available with two transmission systems. The batteries are two, with 53 kWh in the entry version or 77.4 kWh in the large version and it is combined with one or two electric motors. In the top version, the performance is 239 kWh (325 hp) and the torque reaches 605 Nm, with the acceleration from 0-100 km/h completed in 5.1 seconds. The maximum autonomy reaches 610 kilometers.

A prominent place in Hyundai’s range will undoubtedly be the new all-electric Kona. And this, in turn, is expected to adorn the exhibitions of the Korean brand in Greece, immediately, from September.

The second generation Hyundai Kona Electric has larger dimensions and battery, more power and a new design inside and out. Its length is 4.355 m, which is +175 mm. longer than its predecessor, with the wheelbase being 60 mm. also longer. Its interior is spacious, with a trunk volume of 466 liters, while it has modern technology, with two 12.3-inch screens and a 12-inch head-up display.

The battery has a larger capacity of 48.4 kWh (from 39 kWh before), with the output being 114.6 kW (156 hp) and 255 Nm of torque. In the large version, the power rises to 160 kW (218 PS), with the battery being 65.4 kWh and the autonomy reaching 490 kilometers.

Hyundai i20

The Hyundai i20 is the third model that will be made available during the year, and more specifically from November, by the importing company of the Korean brand in Greece. This has been renewed in places and comes to continue with more resources the successful course of its predecessor.

The changes concerning the aesthetic part are focused on the front and rear bumpers, the grille, but also the new 16 and 17-inch rims. Additionally, it will be available in eight exterior colors, with an optional two-tone finish including a black roof. The Hyundai i20 is equipped with a 1.0 T-GDI turbo petrol engine with an output of 100 or 120 hp.

A 76.1 kWh battery is offered exclusively in the standard Rear Wheel Drive version, while a 99.8 kWh battery is placed in both the larger versions: RWD Long Range and All Wheel Drive (AWD). In the RWD LR version the performance is 204 hp and 350 Nm of torque, with 0-100 km/h being 9.4 seconds, while the same version with 218 hp does 0-100 km/h in 8, 2 seconds.

The large AWD version is equipped with two electric motors and produces 385 hp and 600 Nm of torque. It does 0-100 km/h in 6 seconds. while with the help of the Boost function the torque rises to 700 Nm and the acceleration drops to 5.3 seconds.

Mercedes-Benz

The importing company of Mercedes-Benz in Greece will bring nine models to our country by the end of the year. From the entry in the SUV range, the refreshed GLA, to the flagship GLS.

In more detail, the dance begins with the renewed Mercedes-Benz GLA, which is expected immediately on the Greek market. It stands out for the small aesthetic changes it has in its body, with a new light signature and a new color palette for the body.

Available from the entry-level GLA 200 1.3 with a 48V mild hybrid system, but also in the higher-end 2.0-litre petrol engine, GLA 220 4MATIC and GLA 250 4MATIC. The starting price for is 47,500 euros. Its range includes the Plug-in Hybrid version GLA 250 e and three more with a diesel engine.

The renewed Mercedes-Benz GLE will also be available on the Greek market until the end of 2023. In its new generation, it is offered with upgraded technology, exclusively as a four-wheel drive and with hybrid versions.

The aesthetics take a more modern approach, with LED headlights as standard, while Multibeam LED lights are optional. In Coupe versions the AMG Line sports package is now standard.

The entire range is electrified as it is fitted with 48V mild hybrid technology at the base of its range. Above there are Plug-in Hybrid versions with a 100 kW (136 hp) electric motor and a combined output of 381 hp and 750 Nm of torque. At the top of the range are the Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 4Matic+ and GLE 63 S 4Matic+ versions.

The second generation of the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe is also coming to the Greek market by the end of the year. It stands out for its improved aerodynamics and sophisticated aesthetics, following in the footsteps of the generation it replaces. It looks more dynamic and is larger in size and spaces.

Its interior is also completely upgraded, with a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and an 11.9-inch multimedia system screen. The fully electrified range includes seven versions, with the common denominator being the 2-liter petrol and diesel engines.

In addition, Plug-in Hybrid versions 300 e and 400 e petrol and 400 de diesel are also available. They are combined with a 100 kW (136 hp) electric motor, producing a combined 313, 381 and 335 hp respectively.

The sixth generation of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class will set its wheels on the Greek asphalt by the end of the year. It is expected at the Greek exhibitions, with rich technology that honors its “star”, but also the 30-year history that it carries on its back.

Design-wise, it borrows elements from its purely electric sister EQE. Her dashboard is full of screens and cameras, three and two in number, with the MBUX Superscreen’s large glass surface taking up the width of the dashboard.

It is 4,949 m long, 1,880 m wide and 1,468 m high, while the wheelbase reaches 2,961 m, foreshadowing the spaciousness that the new E-Class will offer. The new limousine from the Germans is available in a gasoline version, the E 200, three Plug-in Hybrids, the E 300 e, E 300 e 4MATIC and E 400 e 4MATIC and two diesels, the E 220 d and E 220 d 4Matic, with the first and the last two being combined with a mild hybrid system.

The Mercedes-Benz CLE Coupe is a completely new model that will be seen on Greek roads by the end of 2023. It is 4.85 m long and follows the general design philosophy of Mercedes, with a strong curved roof at its end.

The interior layout is 2+2 seats with luxury dominating and technology framing this beautiful construction. The engine range includes gasoline and diesel sets with four or six cylinders, all with mild hybrid system support.

The Mercedes EQE SUV is another model that will be available from the Greek import company of the German brand in our country until the end of 2023. It is the SUV version of the electric EQE, with a higher body and an expanded field of action.

It will initially be available in 350+, 350 4Matic and 500 4Matic versions. The 90.6 kWh battery offers a range of 590 kilometers in the 350+ version. Its performance is 215 kW (292 hp) and 565 Nm. The next version 350 4Matic has another electric motor on the front axle, but with the same performance.

At the top – for now – is the 500 4Matic version with an output of 300 kW (408 hp) and 858 Nm of torque. Shortly afterwards, AMG versions with an output of up to 505 kW (687 hp) are expected to be added to the range for the Mercedes-AMG 53.

With design changes that make it even more special, the Mercedes-Ben CLA is coming to the Greek market by the end of the year. Beautiful detailing makes all the difference, with the signature grille making a statement, along with the stylish tail trim.

The range is also electrified here, with all petrol engines supported by a mild hybrid system. The entry version is the CLA 180, which is equipped with a 1.3-liter gasoline engine with 136 hp. The 2-liter petrol versions are also available with four-wheel drive.

In addition, there is also the Plug-in Hybrid version CLA 250 e with an output of 218 hp and the ability to drive purely electrically. The range is completed by the diesel

versions, while at the top are the AMG 35 4Matic and 45 S 4Matic.

The second in the series of Mercedes-Benz SUVs with the GLB badge, is expected on the Greek market until December 2023. In its renewed version, the GLB has redesigned bumpers, front and rear, a new grille, LED lights that belong to the basic equipment and canopies that are painted in body color.

Mercedes’ mild hybrid technology also finds application in the GLB, with versions of the model equipped with petrol and diesel engines. In addition, a Plug-in Hybrid version is available, as well as a sports version with AMG badges.

The crown jewel of the Mercedes-Benz SUV range, the GLS has been renewed and is coming to the Greek market, with a horizon until the end of 2023. The large, standard 7-seater model is presented with skin design changes, focusing on the grille and bumper air vents, but also the rear lights.

New available technologies are offered in the interior and the MBUX multimedia system. The engine range is also electrified. It includes petrol and diesel versions, with codes: 450, 580, 350 d and 450 d. Their performance starts from 269 hp and reaches 517 hp.
MG makes its entry into the Greek market, under the umbrella of Syngelidis Group. The availability of the models is expected to start immediately, from September.

Opel launches its new “arm” called GSe.

With these badges we will see the new Plug-in Hybrid Astra GSe and Grandland GSe on the Greek market immediately, in September.

The brand’s new arm aims to present and sell electrified models with sporty features. Both the Astra GSe and Grandland GSe have had special settings applied to the chassis and steering system, for a sportier driving experience, as Opel emphasizes.

The Peugeot

import company of Peugeot in Greece has planned to bring three new models to our country by the end of 2023.

More specifically, in October we expect the renewed Peugeot 2008. The changes concern the design, technology and electric drive, with a new engine and battery that offer more power and autonomy.

The French B-SUV will be available in three equipment versions: Active, Allure and GT. There will be four powertrains, along with the new electric version that produces 115 kW (156 hp) and offers a range of 406 kilometers according to the WLTP. A little later, in 2024, a new hybrid version will be added to the Peugeot 2008 range.

Towards the end of 2023, the renewed Peugeot 208 is expected to arrive on the Greek market. The French supermini comes with a new look, highlighted by its new bright signature, richer color palette and more technologies. The Peugeot i-Connect system now has a screen with a diagonal of 10 inches.

The range of petrol engines is now supported by a 48V mild hybrid system, with the PureTech petrol delivering 100 or 136bhp. In addition to the 6-speed manual gearbox, a new e-DCS6 dual-clutch automatic has been added to the range of the facelifted Peugeot 208, which promises better torque output and lower consumption.

The introductory version of the model produces 75 hp, while, on the other hand, the top electric has been significantly upgraded, now reaching 156 hp and with a 51 kWh battery it promises a range of 400 kilometers.

The Peugeot 3008 Hybrid is scheduled to be released on the Greek market in the last quarter of 2023. It is the self-charging version of the French C-SUV. The hybrid system with 48V battery promises a reduction in fuel consumption, but also better performance.

An electric motor works together with the petrol engine or they work separately, in order to offer the lowest possible energy consumption. According to the French, the system reduces fuel consumption by up to 15% compared to regular petrol versions, as well as CO2 emissions, which are limited to 126g/km.

The performance of the 3-cylinder 1.2 PureTech is 136 hp and 230 Nm of torque. A new e-DSC6 dual-clutch automatic transmission takes care of the transmission that goes to the front wheels. There is also the permanent magnet electric motor with an output of 21 kW (28 hp) and 55 Nm of torque.

Renault plans to bring two new models to the Greek market. From the supermini, new Clio, the purely electric small and medium Megane E-Tech Electric, to the large passenger 9-seater Trafic.

The renewed Renault Clio already has prices in the Greek market, having the introductory version 1.0 TCe 90 hp, which costs 20,570 euros. Beyond the new, fresher appearance, the quality characteristics on the road, which traditionally characterize it, the new Clio stands out for the rich range of editions it has.

From simple petrol, dual fuel with petrol and LPG, diesel and a full hybrid. The basic version is equipped with the 1.0 TCe 90 hp petrol engine, while there is also a version of this with dual fuel and LPG. In this case, the performance rises to 100 hp. The 1.5 dCi diesel version produces 100 hp, while the top hybrid E-Tech Hybrid 145 hp.

Renault’s first small- and medium-sized purely electric model, the Megane E-Tech Electric, begins its commercial course on the Greek market in the fall.

Available with two batteries and in two power versions, in its basic form it will produce 130 hp, while in the most powerful 218 hp, with a torque of 250 and 300 Nm respectively. The drive is transmitted to the front wheels.

The 40 kWh battery offers a range of 300 kilometers, while the large 60 kWh one raises the price to 470 kilometers. The Megane E-Tech Electric has a length of 4.21 m, which allows it to comfortably accommodate four passengers, thanks to the long wheelbase of 2.7 m.

Subaru with its long tradition of four-wheel drive models, but also the delights on the road, has planned the introduction of the new BRZ. The rear-wheel drive model, with the driver-centric character that is the dream of many petrolheads around the world.

The coupe car with the layout of 2+2 seats inside and the drive on the rear wheels, will start its commercial career in Greece in November 2023.

Toyota

The Toyota C-HR has passed into its second generation and the Greek import company has scheduled its availability in December. Orders have already started, as demand, as for any Toyota model, is high.

The new C-HR will have an introductory price of 29,130 euros, but providing everything in terms of equipment from the very first C-ULT version. In its new generation, it stands out for its aesthetics, upgraded quality and Toyota’s new fifth-generation hybrid system.

Available in two versions, with a performance of 140 and 200 hp, in terms of its self-charging full hybrid version, while in the Plug-in Hybrid the power rises to 220 hp.

Volvo

Volvo will immediately make available, from September, the new versions of the XC40 and C40 on the Greek market. These are rear-wheel drive with an output of 252 hp and stand out for their improved autonomy, with an 82 kWh battery.

The updated version of the VW Touareg will be available on the Greek market by the end of the year. The changes concern the design, the enrichment of technology with new ones, and the electrified range.

In terms of dimensions, it remains the same, with a length of 4,878 m, a width of 1,984 m and a height of 1,717 m. Inside, spaciousness remains top notch, with high-level comfort for five passengers and their luggage (610 litres).

The V8 engine has been removed and under the hood of the new VW Touareg there is only the V6. There are five engine versions in total and next to the petrol V6, there are two diesel versions and the same number of Plug-in Hybrids. All versions are combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive.
